March 10- ITB Berlin, the world’s largest travel trade show, started today and will continue till 14, March 2010 on the fairgrounds of Messe Berlin in Germany. This year there are a total of 603 Middle East-based travel companies participating, including airlines, tour operators, hotels and resorts. There is also representation from Middle Eastern embassies and city tourism boards. The Middle East countries that are participating this year are Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Morocco, Oman, Palestinian Territories, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria and the United Arab Emirates.
At the entrance to the Berlin exhibition centre there is a large poster of Qatar Airways signifying the importance of ITB for companies from the Middle East.
