New licensing system for recreational centres in Jeddah

April 13- The Chairman of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI), Prince Abdullah bin Saud, has announced the launching of new system for the licensing of recreational centres and tourist resorts along the Corniche.
"The new system will solve the current problem in getting licenses to establish tourism and recreational projects on the Corniche," he said, adding that the earlier system did not have a positive effect on the various tourism projects. The system is expected to reduce the fees charged by recreational facilities on the Corniche. "At present these recreational facilities operate only about 100 days a year. When they operate throughout the year, the prices will go down," said Prince Abdullah.
About future projects, the chairman said that cultural evenings are being planned for various resorts that include poetry recitals, stages shows and special programmes for children.
These programmes, he said, will be held during the summer vacations and Eid holidays.
