April 15- Israeli travellers were asked to leave Sinai Peninsula, Egypt, last night because of kidnapping threats issued by militants.
In this regard, the Israeli counter-terrorism bureau issued issued a travel advisory, warning tourists from travelling to Sinai and saying that the threat was based on "concrete intelligence".
Sinai is a popular holiday destination for Israelis, who flock to its beach resorts despite repeated travel warnings by the Israeli government. The counter-terrorism bureau advised Israelis not to travel there for the recent Passover holiday, but according to media reports, tens of thousands of Israelis crossed into Egypt anyway.
