Double Decker Tourist Buses Start Operating In Abu Dhabi

The Big Bus Company will begin operating nine traditional double-decker buses for tourists in Abu Dhabi for the first time tomorrow. The family owned company has been operating open-top sightseeing bus tours in London since 1991 and in Dubai since 2002.  Marketing manager for Double Decker Bus Tours, Dubai said “Initially, we are bringing in eight-nine buses.  Let’s see the response of people in the first phase, then more buses would be added if required.”

Ines Zahouani said the charge for an adult is Dh200, Dh100 for children, and there is a family package for two adults and two children that costs Dh500.    The new bus will give both tourists and residents a chance to see the capital in a new way.  The 24 hour ticket gives passengers access to all Big Bus Tour routes on the Big Bus Sightseeing Tour.
