Avoid travel to Bahrain

Protesters in Bahrain clashed with police on Thursday while military tanks drove in to Pearl Square - the site of violent demonstrations on Wednesday - and began to clear out the area. Several people were killed and many injured.

In view of continuing unrest in Bahrain it is advisable to avoid travel to the country.

The protests in Bahrain are a continuation of a series of civilian outpourings against the governments of the region. Protesters in Tunisia  and Egypt have already toppled the governments in those countries. Trouble in Yemen and now Bahrain is escalating while protesters in Algeria and Libya are also coming out on the streets to voice their greivances against their governments.
