Royal Jordanian Airlines will get two new Airbus A330s on May 21, for use on its London and Far East destinations. Hussein Dabbas, President and CEO of Royal Jordanian, said the aircraft will fill an important gap in its current fleet of 20 aircraft, especially since delivery of 11 Boeing 787 Dreamliners have been delayed by two years, until 2013.
The new Airbus A330 aircraft will fly four times a week to Hong Kong via Bangkok three times to Colombo, and daily to London. Dabbas said beginning on March 28 Royal Jordanian will begin direct flights to Madinah, Saudi Arabia. The airline said flights to Kuala Lumpur will resume this year in the beginning of June, because there has been an increase in tourism and commercial activity to Malaysia from this region. There will be three weekly flights from Bangkok to Malaysia.
