Low cost carrier flydubai announced Tuesday they will begin daily flights to Khartoum, Sudan, on November 8th. CEO of flydubai. Ghaith Al Ghaith, said he believes this new service will meet the demand of another under serviced route. Khartoum is 1,600 miles from Dubai and will be the longest route on flydubai’s network.
Ghaith said Sudan is a country with great potential for economic development and financial growth, and is working hard to make sure there are significant business opportunities for UAE businessman. He said “When you combine that with the existing demand from the many thousands of Sudanese residents in the UAE, it is easy to see why flydubai is excited about prospects for this route.” Flydubai now has five Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft and also flies to Beirut, Damascus, Amman, Alexandria, Aleppo, Djibouti, and Doha.
