Emirates Airline will start flight service from Jeddah to Dubai on the Airbus A380 on February 1st. The introduction of the A380 on this route, which initially operates four days a week, means there will be 76 more business class seats available. Currently the airline only offers first and economy class on its Jeddah-Dubai, and Riyadh-Dubai route. Travel experts believe Emirates Airlines is filling a gap in the Saudi sector because there is a big demand for business class seats on these routes but most airlines don’t offer it.
First class seats are much more expensive than economy class seats, and middle managers will often be authorized to travel business class, but if this is not available, must use economy. Emirates has cut the number of first class seats from 42 to 14 private suites, and added more seats to business class, which targets a section that is currently underserved by regional airlines.
