May 30 - British Airways (BA) announced on Saturday that several of its flights to and from Heathrow Airport are operating normally as the entire cabin crew have returned to work before starting the next round of strikes over staffing and pay. "The knock-on impact at Heathrow is far less than anticipated due to the numbers of cabin crew who came to work over the past week," British Airways said in an emailed statement.
It further said that while it is not possible to restore all flights from Heathrow, they will operate at Gatwick and London City airports over the weekend.
Meanwhile, talks between the airline and Unite, the union representing the cabin crew, ended inconclusively on Friday. The Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service is speaking to both sides to arrange further negotiations to resolve the dispute, said Clare Carter, a spokeswoman for the service.
